At Maydena Mountain Cabins, the health and wellbeing of all our guests, our team and our local community is our top priority.  We have both been fully vaccinated and as COVID-19 restrictions are still in place, we have made some changes to the way we operate:

Social Distancing & Government Health Mandates:  You must keep up-to-date and follow the latest Coronavirus health restrictions/directives that are in place during your stay and which can be found here. 

Good Hygiene:   Wash your hands often and thoroughly with soap and water for 20 seconds. Cough or sneeze into your arm. Use the hand sanitiser at the entrance to your accommodation. 

Cleaning:   We have enhanced our already rigorous cleaning protocols with an additional level of cleaning and disinfection following government guidelines.

Contactless Check In:   You will receive emails and a text message prior to check in for payment and arrival information including an accommodation map, parking instructions and how to access your accommodation. On arrival you can go straight to your accommodation.  The Tasmanian Government has mandated that you must check-in upon arrival and each subsequent day using the TAS Check In App with our QR Code located in your room. 

Feeling Unwell:   In line with government advice, if you or one of your travel party are feeling unwell with COVID-19 like symptoms or have been in contact with a confirmed or possible case please contact us before arrival and please seek medical advice ASAP.

Monitoring:   If you begin to develop COVID-like symptoms during your stay please let us know and contact the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738, or visit coronavirus.tas.gov.au to book a test online..

Room Cleaning:

  • We use appropriate PPE based on government guidelines when cleaning.

  • High-touch surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised.

  • Upon guest departure, we remove and replace all linen.

  • Before you check out, thoroughly wash your use dishes with hot water and detergent and left them out, we then put these dishes through a final steam clean.  Do not pack your used washed dishes away, nor leave out dirty or less than throughly washed dishes or you will be charged an extra cleaning fee of $50.00. 

  • We have also removed non-essential items from your rooms including books, games, soft furnishings and surplus pillows and blankets. If you need anything extra please ask.
